ITIWIT by Decathlon kindly donated one of the new 12’6 Explorace SUP boards to the Plastic Bottle SUP marathon expedition to accompany the plastic bottle board as a support board. Carlos and Carolyn took it in turns to paddle the bottle board and the Itiwit board.
On 18th September 2016 we ran a day of ocean-inspired art making in partnership with the #OneLess campaign and From the Bow Seat. The day introduced families to From The Bow Seat’s Ocean Awareness Student Contest which challenges students to research, interpret, and say something meaningful about the connections between human activities and the health of our oceans. The day began with a clean up on the Thames at the Tower of London in partnership with Thames 21. Participants then crossed Tower Bridge to the south bank and come on board the Tower Bridge Moorings Arts Ark. There they viewed an exhibition of artwork by previous Bow Seat Contest winners to get inspiration for their own art projects.
